LIFE GROUPS

Doing Life Together

They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. ... Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.

Acts 2:42, 46-47

What is a LIFE Group?

We believe that much of the full Christian life becomes a reality as the church meets as authentic small group communities outside the “four walls” of traditional church buildings. We call these small groups “Life Groups.”

Life Groups meet throughout the week in people’s homes and are open to anyone interested in learning more about God and experiencing loving Christian community. These house church style groups are at the core of Tru's vision and are an ideal avenue for you to plug in more deeply with our church and to grow in your relationship with God.

"Life" is an acronym that stands for the four core values that we see evident in the early church as described in Acts 2:42:

Learning biblical truth

Intercession

Fellowship

Extending life to others

So, Life Groups are truly “more than a meeting.” In order to pursue these four core functions, Life Groups engage in a variety of activities together as a community and out in the city. As a result, Life Groups seek to intentionally reach out and engage the non-believing world all around them.
