What to Expect at TRU

Come as you are

One of Tru Community Church's core values is "Come as you are." We believe that God invites us to come just as we are to him through Jesus and so we want to communicate the same invitation to you as you join us for our Sunday gathering! Tru is a great place to find and follow Jesus. Come be

a part of the family and experience the love of Christ with us.

What should I expect?

When you arrive, you will be welcomed with a smile. We want you to know that you belong here! As you walk in, you will find a coffee bar provided to help energize you, along with occasional treats.

Our gatherings begin at 10 am with a couple of worship songs in which the whole family engages in together. (Nursery and Pre-K drop off is available prior to the beginning of service)

There will be a mingle time during which kids K- 5th grade dismissed to their classes in our children's ministry area.

Then we will gather back together for announcements and then transition into a bible-based sermon to help you grow in your faith and apply God's Word to your life.

We typically end with a couple more worship songs during which members of the prayer team are always available to pray with you. Communion is celebrated together periodically at the end of service.

What should I wear?

Just wear whatever you feel comfortable in. There really is no judgement here. When we say to "come as you are," we really mean it. Many people wear jeans and a t-shirt or polo.

What should my kids expect?

Our volunteers are the heartbeat of our ministry!

It’s an honor to serve with each and every one of them as they love on kids each week! Every volunteer who serves in the KIDS Ministry is background checked and has committed to making the ministry a safe, Biblically relevant, and fun environment for your kids.

Our staffed classrooms are divided up into:

  • Nursery
  • Pre-school
  • K- 2nd Grade
  • 3rd-5th Grade
